<p>The Betrayal League in Grinding Gear Games&#8217; <em>Path of Exile</em> is currently on-going. After <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/path-of-exile-betrayal-hits-nearly-189000-peak-concurrent-players-at-launch">setting a new record</a> for the game in terms of peak concurrent player count, the developer is preparing update 3.5.0c to address different bugs. The update will be live tomorrow, but some of the <a href="https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2265554?fbclid=IwAR1s0H2IU0NcPrt-0zRxY0loVLV7zzyrInn7egNFi1yQTunc0Ja8w_bQrzQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">patch notes</a> have been revealed in the meantime.</p>
<p>Some of the changes coming in the update include recipes to craft two or three socket items after the first Delve encounter. Those who have already completed the encounter (and interacted with the plinth) can simply return to it and receive the recipes. The developer is working to retroactively provide the recipes to players who already completed the encounter.</p>
<p>Other changes include enabling the Veiled modifier &#8220;+1 to maximum number of Summoned Totems&#8221;. Bugs preventing the completion of &#8220;Einhar&#8217;s Hunt&#8221; and &#8220;No Time Like The Present&#8221; have also been fixed. Furthermore, if you were worried about the &#8220;Defeat Mastermind I&#8221; challenge not showing as completed after the encounter, this patch should fix it. As for the Map Stash Tab issues, the developer has prepared some fixes and will deploy them soon.</p>
<p>Check out all the fixes and changes below:</p>
<ul>
<li><em>You will now receive the recipes to craft two or three sockets on items by interacting with the plinth in the first Delve encounter. For players that have already interacted with this plinth, simply return to the first Delve encounter and you should be able to interact with the plinth once again to receive these crafting recipes. In a future patch, we will retroactively grant these recipes to all players that have interacted with the plinth prior to this change.</em></li>
<li><em>Reduced how much healing Bu&#8217;s Delight granted to Syndicate Members per corpse consumed.</em></li>
<li><em>Enabled the &#8220;+1 to maximum number of Summoned Totems&#8221; Veiled modifier.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where the Defeat Mastermind I challenge was not granted on successful completion of the encounter.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where the Elder was generating at the level of previous map tiers.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug preventing completion of the &#8220;Einhar&#8217;s Hunt&#8221; Bestiary quest.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug preventing completion of the &#8220;No Time like the Present&#8221; Incursion quest.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug preventing travel from the Azurite Mine to the Menagerie and vice versa.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where a Stone of Passage could drop in Incursions even though no doors required opening.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where The Unbreathing Queen II and Unbearable Whispers V prophecies would not trigger in the Labyrinth.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where some Safehouse chests failed to generate divination cards or items with labyrinth enchantments if your character level was too low.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where Rin Yuushu could spawn in non-map areas.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where your maximum totem count was incorrectly 0 when you had the Runebinder keystone and the Pursuit of Faith ascendancy passive allocated.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug with Eldritch Battery allocated where energy shield recharge was being interrupted when damage was dealt to a players life.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug preventing use of the Crafting Bench on corrupted items even if you had sufficient currency.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where the &#8220;Hits can&#8217;t be Evaded&#8221; crafted modifier displayed multiple ranks. This was purely a visual issue.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where &#8220;Find the Map Item&#8221; Zana missions could drop maps at higher tiers than intended.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where unique Jewels could fail to be created from the Blood Altar Bestiary recipe if your captured monster levels were too low.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where the Betrayal Gem Experience reward in Syndicate Safehouses was not usable on corrupted gems.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where a Fortification encounter could spawn in an unreachable location in the Maze of the Minotaur map.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where spectred Syndicate Silencers could deal damage to you with their &#8220;Throw Net&#8221; skill.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where your current Sulphite amount was not displayed correctly in towns and hideouts.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where being hit by a Shaper Anomaly caused you to receive a failed challenge notification for a Delve challenge.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug causing Shaper Anomalies&#8217; area of effect to be larger than intended.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where Arctic Breath wasn&#8217;t available to purchase from vendors at level 12, but rather at level 28.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a bug where the background art for the Fragment Tab was incorrect.</em></li>
<li><em>Fixed a client crash that could occur when in combat with It That Fled.</em></li>

<p>There was plenty of hype surrounding Grinding Gear Games&#8217; newest League for <em>Path of Exile,</em> dubbed <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/path-of-exile-betrayal-announced-introduces-nemesis-system-like-gameplay"><em>Betrayal</em></a>. On top of featuring all new content, mechanics, and rewards, <em>Betrayal</em> would also see <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/path-of-exile-betrayals-atlas-objectives-will-factor-new-masters-into-endgame">past Leagues being restructured</a> and implemented into the core game. Despite server issues several hours after launch on December 7th, <em>Betrayal</em> was a big success.</p>
<p>According to co-founder and managing director of developers Grinding Gear Games Chris Wilson on the game&#8217;s <a href="https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2261614?fbclid=IwAR0y4BPzbgqYpqIePgc0NuKN8wIIO-be9869-hkjlVzFfDYAlkQy2QGY21g">official forums</a>, <em>Betrayal</em> saw a peak concurrent player count of 188,970 users, of which 123,565 were from Steam itself. &#8220;This is 28% higher than our previous best-ever launch and is a record we&#8217;re planning to break again in the future,&#8221; said Wilson. He also noted that despite initial server issues, <em>Betrayal</em> was one of the company&#8217;s smoothest launches ever.</p>
<p>The development team isn&#8217;t done just yet, though it will have a smaller team looking over the title during the holidays. &#8220;Over the coming week, we&#8217;ll prioritize post-launch issues as they come in, alongside the development of 3.6.0 which will be released in March,&#8221; Wilson said. &#8220;In New Zealand it&#8217;s common for people to take a few weeks of summer holiday around Christmas/New Year, so we&#8217;ll be running a skeleton crew for the end of December and early January.&#8221;</p>
<p>Wilson also thanked the development team for their hard work, especially given the time frame within which <em>Betrayal</em> was created. He said: &#8220;To the rest of the Grinding Gear Games team: Thank you for your hard work over the last few weeks. <em>Betrayal</em> was a massive expansion to create in such a short time frame. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality really show in the final product. It&#8217;s an honour working with you.&#8221;</p>
<p>In addition to update 3.6.0, the developer is also working hard on the PS4 version of <em>Path of Exile</em>. Originally slated to launch alongside <em>Betrayal</em>, the port <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/path-of-exile-ps4-release-delayed-to-february-2019">will now be releasing</a> in February 2019.</p>

<p>Grinding Gear Games has announced that <em>Path of Exile</em>, its free to play action RPG, has been delayed for the PS4. Originally slated <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/path-of-exile-is-coming-to-ps4-this-december">to release in December</a>, the title has been delayed to February 2019. According to producer and co-creator Chris Wilson in an <a href="https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2253521" target="_blank" rel="noopener">official forum post</a>, this was due to underestimating &#8220;the amount of work it would take to finish the certification process&#8221; during the Holiday season.</p>
<p>&#8220;We underestimated the amount of work it would take to finish the certification process during the busy Christmas period,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;While we hope to have everything ready in January, we feel a lot more comfortable promising early February as a target release window. This will also give us time to work on game performance/frame rate, which we feel could be improved before release.</p>
<p>&#8220;Again, we&#8217;re very sorry about this. We understand that many PlayStation users were keen to play <em>Betrayal</em> over Christmas and have been eagerly awaiting release date news. We promise that <em>Path of Exile</em> will be awesome on PlayStation 4 when it is released early next year.&#8221;</p>
<p>The title&#8217;s <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/path-of-exile-betrayal-announced-introduces-nemesis-system-like-gameplay">next big expansion, <em>Betrayal</em></a>, will introduce a new League where players hunt down members of the Immortal Syndicate. Not unlike <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/middle-earth-shadow-of-mordor-trailer-reveals-power-struggles-within-nemesis-system"><em>Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor&#8217;s</em> Nemesis system</a>, players will manipulate, kill, and incite betrayal from the members to ultimately unveil their leader. New skills, items, quality of life improvements, and returning content like Incursion and Delve are also inbound.</p>
<p><em>Path of Exile: Betrayal</em> will release on December 7th for PC and December 10th on Xbox One. Though the game&#8217;s delay is sad news for PS4 players, it will afford the developer &#8211; which is fairly open and communicative with its fan base &#8211; more time to craft a stellar release.</p>

<p><em>Path of Exile&#8217;s</em> update 3.5 and the new <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/path-of-exile-betrayal-announced-introduces-nemesis-system-like-gameplay"><em>Betrayal</em> League</a> are out in two weeks. In the meantime, Grinding Gear Games has been detailing each new feature coming with the update. Today, we learn more <a href="https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2251569?fbclid=IwAR2hu-V396swLyTuuJ_TUU6zUp4fzJZe8G0kMRiBWvtOaCHeSoB-eaw_q6M" target="_blank" rel="noopener">about Atlas Objectives</a>. The old Masters have disappeared and been replaced by League Masters like Niko (<a href="https://gamingbolt.com/path-of-exiles-delve-league-goes-live-today"><em>Delve</em></a>), Alva (<a href="https://gamingbolt.com/path-of-exiles-incursion-league-is-live"><em>Incursion</em></a>), and Einhar (<em>Bestiary</em>).</p>
<p>The different Leagues and their activities have been rolled into the core game and have replaced Daily Missions. The new system is called Atlas Objectives, and showcases different markers on the Atlas of Worlds where a Master may be present. They&#8217;ll have a mission available in that section, which refresh every day. Encountering Masters randomly is still a thing, so don&#8217;t worry.</p>
<p>Atlas Objectives will appear each day, but they can also generate when a map is completed. Depending on the last map run in the corresponding League, the map tier of the Atlas Objective will be loosely based on it. If an Atlas Objective has been added for one Master but you still have one for a different Master, then the preexisting Master will move to a new location.</p>
<p><em>Path of Exile&#8217;s Betrayal</em> is out on December 7th for PC and December 10th for Xbox One and PS4. Coming December 7th for PC (which is the <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/path-of-exile-is-coming-to-ps4-this-december">same date the PS4 version launches</a>) and December 10th for consoles, the free expansion sees players hunting the Immortal Syndicate, working their way up through the chain of members to defeat the head honcho. <p>What&#8217;s intriguing about the system is how players can approach the different Syndicate members. There are four divisions, each with their own rewards and quest mechanics. Also, the player doesn&#8217;t have to kill Syndicate members &#8211; instead, they can be bargained with, interrogated, executed, and even encouraged to betray their allies.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a very <em>Shadow of Mordor</em>-like system, but we&#8217;ve never seen it in an action RPG like this. Along with the new League, <em>Betrayal</em> will also make Incursions and Delves permanent, introduce new masters and bring a new kind of item called Veiled Items to the loot pool. That&#8217;s on top of the new skills, weapons, Atlas map areas and much more.</p>
