Released in 2021, Psychonauts 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the 2005 cult classic. Players once again control Raz as he finally joins the Psychonauts, but that glory is short-lived as he embarks on a mission to investigate and uncover a mole. New powers and levels, alongside revamped combat mechanics, help the experience stand out (and it looks fantastic). Head here for more details on Double Fine’s next game, Keeper.

Stardew Valley needs no introduction – it’s a farming/life sim inspired by Harvest Moon that’s sold tens of millions of copies. It’s received numerous updates thus far, expanding the end-game and adding several new features. As for Viewfinder, it’s a short puzzler where players use their camera to alter their perception of reality. While the premise is simple, it works surprisingly well and makes for a compelling adventure.

August’s PS Plus Essential titles will remain available for subscribers until September 1st, so claim them now.

It Takes Two and Aliens: Dark Descent are playable on PS4 and PS5. The former is an award-winning split-screen co-op title where Cody and May must resolve their marriage problems after being transformed into dolls. It offers a range of mini-games and platforming challenges to complete.

Aliens: Dark Descent is a squad-based real-time strategy title where players must lead some Colonial Marines on the moon, Lethe, as they combat Xenomorphs and attempt to survive. Temtem is playable exclusive on PS5 and offers a 3D creature collector set on the Airborne Archipelago. There are various species to collect and battle with as players embark on an adventure to defeat the eight DojoLeaders.

Sony has also confirmed the first classic titles joining PlayStation Plus Premium starting December 10th. These include Sucker Punch’s Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. Naughty Dog’s Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy will also be available. Stay tuned for more details on all the titles coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium in the coming weeks.

The Callisto Protocol is playable on both PS4 and PS5 and serves as a new sci-fi survival horror from the creator of Dead Space. It sees Jacob Lee trying to escape Black Iron Prison as its inhabitants morph into horrifying creatures. Despite its gorgeous visuals, the gameplay and story received criticism – check out our review here for more details.

Farming Simulator 22 is the 2021 iteration of Giants Software’s long-running farming franchise (superior to the horrid Farming Simulator 23). Weird West is an action RPG from WolfEye Studios with multiple playable characters and immersive sim elements, led by Dishonored co-creator Raphaël Colantonio. Both titles are also playable on PS4 and PS5.

According to the leaker, The Callisto Protocol, Striking Distance Studios and Krafto’s survival horror title, will be free for PS Plus subscribers in October. Giants Software’s Farming Simulator 22 will be another free offering. What the third free game will be remains to be seen.

Of course, this being the lowest PlayStation Plus tier, subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Premium will also be able to claim Essential’s free offerings.

The leaker in question here has a more or less spotless record when it comes to PlayStation Plus-related leaks in particular, so it’s safe to assume that the two aforementioned games will indeed be coming to PS Plus Extra soon. Sony will be officially announcing the lineup in a few days, so stay tuned for that.

Codemasters’ racer GRID Legends, RageSquid’s extreme downhill biking game Descenders, and Torn Banner Studios’ multiplayer medieval action title Chivalry 2 are the PlayStation Plus games for the month of May. All games will be added on May 2 and will remain available for subscribers of the service until June 6. That means subscribers have until May 1 to redeem April’s offerings, which are Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Tails of Iron, and Meet Your Maker.

Sony will, of course, also be adding a longer list of titles to the PlayStation Game Catalog for subscribers on the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers, so expect to get details on what that lineup will be in the coming days.

OlliOlli World is Roll7’s latest title in the acclaimed skateboarding franchise, boasting a bombastic new aesthetic and tons of customization. Evil Dead: The Game is a PvEvP title which sees four survivors from across the Evil Dead universe battling against a Kandarian Demon and some Deadites. Destiny 2: Beyond Light is an expansion for the free-to-play title, which adds Stasis as a new Darkness subclass, a new campaign, and new gear.

As for Mafia: Definitive Edition, it’s a remake of the 2002 classic with improved visuals, quality-of-life features and better racing controls. Stay tuned when all four titles are free to claim next week. It’s also worth noting that PlayStation Plus Collection is going away on May 9th. Subscribers can still keep the titles if they’ve already redeemed them.

Mafia: Definitive Edition will also be available on PS4, though it’s playable on PS5 via backward compatibility. All four titles are reportedly available from February 7th till March 6th. It’s worth noting that Mafia: Definitive Edition may be replaced with another title in certain regions. Stay tuned for Sony’s official announcement for more details.

In the meantime, PS Plus Essential subscribers can claim Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Fallout 76 and Axiom Verge 2 as part of January’s free games. Titles recently added for Extra and Premium subscribers include Dragon Ball FighterZ, Back 4 Blood, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, Life is Strange, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, and much more. Starting December 6, subscribers of PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium will get free access to Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, Biomutant, and the newly-announced Divine Knockout (DKO), a new platform fighter that’ll be available via the service at launch.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition in particular is a solid offering, so subscribers who haven’t yet played BioWare’s beloved trilogy will have the chance to go it a go. Meanwhile, Divine Knockout’s Founder Edition will be on offer to subscribers, which will also include bonus content.

That, of course, means that PS Plus subscribers have until December 5 to claim November’s free games, which includes Nioh 2.

Starting from October 4 until October 31, PS Plus will have three free games on offer- Milestone’s acclaimed arcade racing game Hot Wheels Unleashed, NeatherRealm Studios’ superhero fighting title Injustice 2, and indie fan-favourite first person shooter Superhot. These will, of course, be available to subscribers of all tiers- Essential, Extra, and Premium.

That means subscribers have until October 3 to redeem last month’s games for free- Granblue Fantasy Versus, Need for Speed Heat, and TOEM. Meanwhile, Sony says the lineup of games to be added to the Extra and Premium tiers for October will be revealed in the coming days, so stay tuned for those details.
