During this period, free characters will be released, with Hatsune Miku available now. Joker from Persona 5 and Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon arrive later, and will each have dedicated limited-time event Festivals.

Three additional unknown characters will be added for free in Q1 2026 alongside Pac-Man and the Ghosts as paid DLC. Q2 2026 sees the arrival of Mega Man and Proto Man with a whopping four free characters. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Avatar Legends launch in Q3 2026, alongside two more free characters.

Each free character is accompanied by a new vehicle, emotes and sounds, while paid characters include the same and a new course. Stay tuned for more details on which iconic Sega characters will join the roster in the coming months.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. Check out our review here. It’s also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later this year.

The latest trailer highlights SpongeBob and Patrick as racers alongside Bikini Bottom as a new track. Players will race through the Krusty Krab and even avoid a giant Plankton robot’s eye laser. A release window for the content wasn’t confirmed, but it will arrive after the Minecraft DLC.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches on September 25th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch (with a Switch 2 version coming later). In addition to the Season Pass, those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will also receive three days early access and three characters from Sonic Prime. The SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack will be a paid DLC, priced at $7.99. While no release date for the new DLC has been given, the studio has stated in the description of its teaser trailer that it will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.

For the new DLC, PowerWash Simulator is getting some serious visual overhauls to make the game’s art style match that of SpongeBob SquarePants. The DLC will feature six new maps in a new mini campaign, with levels featuring Conch Street, The Bikini Bottom Bus, The Krusty Krab, the Patty Wagon, The Invisible Boatmobile, and The Mermalair. It will also feature 10 new achievements for players to chase.

While the last major update for PowerWash Simulator revolved around the core game and its story, the title has seen a couple of collaboration DLCs released over time, including with Final Fantasy 7 and Tomb Raider.
