Sonic Racing CrossWorlds

Alongside a new trailer announcing guest characters like Hatsune Miku and Joker from Persona 5, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is confirmed to be releasing on Nintendo Switch 2. However, it’s launching on a later date than the other versions.

Sega also revealed the price and content of the Standard and Deluxe Editions. On the Switch 1, the Standard Edition retails for $59.99 while costing $69.99 on other platforms (including Switch 2). The Digital Deluxe Edition costs $79.99 on Switch 1 and $89.99 on other platforms and includes Knuckles the Dread, Rusty Rose and Tails Nine from Sonic Prime as playable characters.

It also features a Season Pass that will add more “guest characters, vehicles, and tracks” from “other iconic entertainment franchises” (with Minecraft Steve confirmed as DLC). You’ll also get three days of early advanced access, though this isn’t applicable on Switch 1 and 2. Finally, pre-orders will receive Sonic the Werehog from Sonic Unleashed as a racer alongside his vehicle and decal.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches on September 25th. It will feature over 23 playable characters in the base roster and more than 70 Gadgets to mess with opponents. Sonic Team also confirmed the addition of a track based on Metal Harbor from Sonic Adventure 2.
