Humble Bundle’s latest offer is one that should be appealing for PlayStation 4 owners, especially those who love indie titles. The Humble Indie PlayStation Bundle 2019 offers up to nine different games and will be available until February 12th, 11 AM PST. Head here to pick it up for yourself.

The tiered-model is fairly simple – pay $1 and you get Grim Fandango Remastered, The Bard’s Tale Remastered, and InnerSpace. Pay more than the current average, which is about $9, and you get four more titles – Layers of Fear, Wasteland 2 Director’s Cut, The Talos Principle, and Broken Age. If you pay $15 or more, then you also get Killing Floor 2 and Shadow Warrior as well. Not a bad deal, overall.

Along with the games, you’ll also receive soundtracks for Grim Fandango, InnerSpace, Layers of Fear, and Broken Age. These are available at each game’s respective tier. Consumers can also decide how much of their money goes to charity, the Humble Store, or the developers in question.

Wasteland 2 launched on the Nintendo Switch last year, bringing a new brand of RPG (the CRPG brand, to be specific) to Nintendo fans. However, the game’s Switch port had some problem. The game, built on Unity, has issues running properly on more powerful platforms at the best of times (since Unity has optimization issues with a lot of hardware).

These issues include slowdown and frame rate drops, as well as game crashes during some encounters. Until now, Switch owners of Wasteland 2 have had no recourse but to simply shrug these problems off. Happily enough, today, inXile Entertainment finally announced patch 1.0.1, which resolves these problems, and is available to download now.

If you have automatic updates turned on on your Switch, and leave it in Sleep Mode, the update will be automatically downloaded and applied. If not, you can just initiate it from the home screen for yourself. Wasteland 2 is out now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

That lovely cRPG jank, now on the go.

Wasteland 2, which was the crowdfunded follow-up to the classic cRPG from the 1980s and actually acted as the spiritual predecessor to Fallout, is available finally now on the Nintendo Switch, as has been previously announced. The game comes to the Switch in the guise of the much improved Director’s Cut (which launched on other systems a few years ago).

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut is one of the first major cRPG releases on Nintendo’s hybrid platform (another major one set to come to Switch is Pillars of Eternity 2 later this year), bringing its brand of exploration, dialog trees, dynamic storytelling, and skill checks to the Nintendo audience. The actual game itself seems to be pretty much the same thing as it is on other platforms- for $30, that’s not a bad deal at all. It remains to be seen, however, whether or not there are any specific performance or graphical issues with the Switch version of the game.

Wasteland 2 is also available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Old school cRPG gaming on the go, peeps.

inXile Entertainment’s Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut, the belated sequel to the 1988 cRPG classic that went on to serve as the inspiration for the Fallout franchise, will be coming to the Switch on September 13, the developer announced today. Wasteland 2 had already been confirmed for a Switch release before– now we know exactly when Switch players can go hands on with some cRPG action on the go.

Speaking about his excitement at the prospect of a Switch release for the game, Brian Fargo, who led development on Wasteland 2 (as well as the original), noted that the reaction to the game coming to Switch has been overwhelmingly positive.

“When I first showed a screenshot of Wasteland 2 running on the Nintendo Switch, it erupted into one of the largest social media reactions I have ever seen,” he said. “RPG fans are looking for new ways to experience old favourites, and Nintendo fans are looking for big, meaningful RPG experiences they can play anywhere they go. The game received a huge reaction last week at Gamescom, and it feels great to be this close to getting the game in fans’ hands.”

Indeed, having a portable cRPG has a certain allure to it, which makes the Switch version of this game exciting (it will be followed shortly afterwards by Obsidian’s Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, which is also coming to Switch)- so I can understand the excitement, and indeed, feel it myself.

Wasteland 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, in case September 13 is too far away for you to wait for it.

With another month comes another set of games added to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service, allowing players unlimited access to download and play a growing library of first and third party Xbox One and PC titles. With the new June additions, 183 titles are available to play.

We’ve left all of the game descriptions below the story, but players can look forward to Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, Wasteland 2, Technomancer, MotoGP17, Next Up Hero and Disneyland Adventures, which is also for Windows 10.

If I had to recommend any of these titles, I’m a sucker for Mega Man, and Legacy Collection 2 has a nice variety of titles from the later works of the blue bomber. What do you think of this month’s additions? Sound off in the comments below.

Next Up Hero

Inspired by classic games like Zelda: Four Swords and Smash TV, this is a crazy-fast co-op dungeon crawler with unique heroes, epic loot, and tough-as-nails monsters that will kill you. A lot. Every time you die, you leave behind an echo who can be raised by the next hero to fight as AI followers. The more heroes die, the more echoes are raised, and the stronger the community grows and a robust community is needed to take down the most punishing levels in the game. Xbox Game Pass members can look forward to playing Next Up Hero this June, the same day its available digitally on the Microsoft Store.

MotoGP 17

Ride on the official tracks with all the riders and bikes from 2017 MotoGP Championship and 2017 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. Discover more than 70 legendary riders from 4 Stroke, 2 Stroke, 500cc, 2 Stroke 250cc and 2 Stroke 125cc. Choose your path to become a champion with two different career modes: Rider and Team Manager. With the Rider career, you can be hired by various real teams and race after race gain reputation with the final goal of winning the MotoGP Championship.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2

Celebrate the Blue Bomber’s 30th anniversary by jumping, shooting, and sliding through a colorful variety of the hero’s unforgettable adventures. This collection showcases the platforming icon’s evolution from the 16-bit to 32-bit era, followed by a triumphant return to his glorious 8-bit roots. Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is also packed with a host of new features, such as extra challenges, a museum of Mega Man history, and much more.

The Technomancer

Forge the destiny of Mars in this action-RPG set on a cyberpunk planet during the War of Water. Technomancers are mage-warriors who use their innate ability to harness destructive electrical powers. In The Technomancer, you are on the brink of becoming a full-fledged Technomancer, but to do so you must cross deadly wastes, avoid pursuers, and protect a terrible secret. A dynamic dialog system enables you to alter the course of the plot depending on your decisions. You will also craft equipment, weapons, and armor, recruit companions and explore tribal communities of Mars along your journey.

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut

When words fail, bullets prevail. In Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut, the ultimate edition of Wasteland 2, you take on the role of a Desert Ranger – a lawman dedicated to civilizing the post-apocalyptic world. You’ll visit dozens of locations carved out by survivors of the post-atomic age, bringing with you your own brand of frontier justice. Your decisions in dealing with the factions of the Wasteland will determine the fate of its people, as well as your own.

Disneyland Adventures (Xbox Play Anywhere Title)

Travel to Disneyland where dreams come true and explore the magic of the kingdom! With 18 iconic attractions, there are adventures waiting around every corner for fans of all ages. Get your camera ready to stroll the park and meet the Disney princesses along with all of Mickey Mouse’s friends. Watch stories come to life as you fall through the rabbit hole into Alice’s Wonderland and battle Captain Hook with Peter Pan. Just remember to hang on tight during all of Disneyland’s rides!

Torment: Tides of Numenera promises to be a new age spiritual successor to Planescape Torment, the legendary RPG by Black Isle Studios that is often called the greatest example of its genre. The game has so far suffered delays, and a lack of information, but now, it seems as though plans for the game’s release are solidly in place- and that they include exposure to a much wider audience than the game would have had otherwise.

You see, Torment will be launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One alongside the PC version when it launches in the first quarter of next year, publisher Techland confirmed to Eurogamer today. The decision was ultimately arrived at after an earlier inXile game, Wasteland 2, did very well upon its console release.

“Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut‘s success and the gratitude expressed by a lot of fans after this release made us begin to plan the Torment: Tides of Numenera for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” inXile’s Brian Fargo said. “We’re especially excited to work with Techland, who – as a fellow developer – know exactly how to execute such a release without compromising the quality.”

Torment‘s console versions will be shown off at Gamescom this year, which means we are just a couple of weeks away from seeing the game in action. Until then, if you want to get an idea of how the console version of the game plays, you can just check out the new gameplay trailer of the game, showcasing some console version footage, below.

Now finally available on consoles and PC.

The console release of last year’s PC exclusive classic RPG revival Wasteland 2 is now available on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. The sequel to the original post apocalyptic RPG on PC, the console release features multiple console specific enhancements and improvements to ensure that the game can be adapted to a console controller.

The original Wasteland was a special game- it led to over two decades of cult following (the original Fallout game was designed as a spiritual sequel to the first Wasteland game, back when its rights and IP ownership were still in limbo). Wasteland 2 is not as special, but for fans of the genre on PC, it still remains a must play.

The game costs just $40, and is available on PS4 and Xbox One, in addition to coming to PC (of course) as well. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information, and check out the launch trailer below.

Strength in numbers.

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut, the enhanced re-release of the sequel to the spiritual precursor to the Fallout games, which launched exclusively on PC last year, has just received a brand new developer’s diary. The new video shows off some of the squad strategies that you can employ in this game, and how they work with a controller based interface. The Ranger class gets a lot of screentime in this video, to demonstrate how its gear and traits can be tweaked to gain an advantage of numbers.

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut will be releasing on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One; the original Wasteland released more than 20 years ago, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest cRPGs of all time. Wasteland 2 was one of the first Kickstarter based crowdfunding successes in the video game industry.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information. Also check out the video for yourself, and tell us what you think in the comments:

October is packed with amazing releases no matter which platform you own.

It’s that time of the month again where we detail some of the biggest games to come in October 2015. This is actually that time of the year where the most number of AAA titles release – November and December are plenty packed as well, especially with Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 around the corner. That being, there are plenty of big names but here are the top games to look forward to in October 2015.

Transformers: Devastation

Why are we looking forward to a Transformers title, especially when Activision’s Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark was a mess? Simply because Platinum Games is developing it. Featuring many of the same beat ’em up mechanics we’ve come to expect from the studio’s titles, Transformers: Devastation will heed the Transformers: Generations story and include many signature actors reprising their roles. This includes Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and Frank Welker as Megatron among others. Gameplay will look to mix vehicle and robot modes and the visuals seem pretty solid at this stage.

Transformers: Devastation is out on October 6th for Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

With all the remasters arriving on PS4 and Xbox One since both platforms launched, we can’t say we aren’t happy to see Nathan Drake make his return. Bluepoint Games, which handled Titanfall on Xbox 360 and God of War HD Collection, is in charge of remastering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and has done a fantastic job. All three games are rendered at 1080p resolution and 60 FPS with extensive work done to rework the textures and lighting. Of course, it also helps that fans are getting not one, not two but three excellent third person shooters for the price of one. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will also include a number of new difficulty options for veterans and multiplayer beta access for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End when it goes live in December.

If you need any more convincing, check out the free demo for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection today. The full collection is out on October 7th for PS4.

Halo 5: Guardians

To say tensions aren’t high for 343 Industries’ biggest game till date would be a lie. Halo 5: Guardians is not only the first truly current gen Halo title but also releases on the heels of the disastrous Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It brings about a brand new storyline which promises to explore Master Chief’s origins in more detail than ever while also adding a bunch of new multiplayer modes like Warzone and features like the REQ System. There’s no denying it looks great, even if 343 Industries had to take steps to ensure a constant 60 FPS performance (sorry, split-screen co-op fans) but will the studio live up to the hype? Can it deliver the best Halo game we’ve seen thus far?

Time will tell and we can’t wait to find out when Halo 5: Guardians releases on October 27th for Xbox One.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate

If Halo 5: Guardians has its hands full after The Master Chief Collection debacle, we can only imagine the stress Ubisoft must be facing with Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. Remember when Assassin’s Creed: Unity launched and was hailed as one of the most broken game launches of all time? It seems Ubisoft is actively working to ensure quality control on Syndicate, but it remains to be seen as to whether it can break free from the monotony that’s begun to plague the series as of late. Hopefully along with the new setting of Industrial Revolution London and dual protagonists in the form of Jacob and Evie Frye, there will be fun quests and story missions to explore.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is out on October 23rd for Xbox One and PS4. The PC version will be released on November 19th and we can only hope the delay isn’t indicative of its current state.

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut

If you haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing inXile Entertainment’s Wasteland 2, then you’re in for a treat when the Director’s Cut arrives for PS4 and Xbox One (those who purchased the PC version will receive it as a free update).

Along with the jump to Unity 5 resulting in vastly improved visuals, inXile has optimized the interface and controls for consoles. A new Precision Strike system has been added to allow for more freedom in encounters as you can now target individual limbs or armour to gain a leg-up on your foes. New perks, quirks and reworked encounters have also been promised along with over 8000 additional lines of dialog recorded. We’re not saying Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition should be worried but if it doesn’t receive a release date soon, then through Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut will be on the cards instead when it releases on October 13th in North America and October 16th worldwide.

Which games are you looking forward to the most in October? Let us know in the comments below.

Tons of enhancements and new features, along with Unity 5, decorate the upcoming RPG.

inXile Entertainment’s current gen version of its hit crowd-funded RPG Wasteland 2 has finally been dated. Published by Deep Siler, Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut will release on October 13th in North America for Xbox One and PS4.

Along with a visual overhaul (thanks to the shift to Unity 5) which includes reworked characters and levels, enhanced textures and a better lighting system, the amount of voice overs has been expanded to include tens of thousands of lines. A ton of different enhancements to battles have also been implemented to allow for new “Precision Strike” and “Perk & Traits” systems. Console owners won’t have to worry about all the complexity though, since the control scheme for Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut has been optimized for Xbox One and PS4.

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut will be playable at next week’s Gamescom so attendees can get their hands on it and decide for themselves whether it’s worth the time. If the original game’s awesome storyline and gameplay were worth it though, then the Director’s Cut should up the ante even further.
