The Callisto Protocol is 12-14 Hours Long

Striking Distance Studios' CEO and founder Glen Schofield says the horror title will also have "beta paths" that will add replay value.

There’s a cavalcade of promising games coming up in the next few months, and in that sizeable group, The Callisto Protocol is one that’s caught the eye of many. In the lead-up to its launch, developer Striking Distance Studios has now also revealed how long the game will be, while also talking briefly about its relayability.

Speaking in an interview with EDGE magazine (via MP1st) Striking Distance Studios’ CEO and founder Glen Schofield said that The Callisto Protocol will be about 12-14 hours long om average. That said, Schofield says the survival horror title will also have plenty of “beta paths” that will add replay value and “encourage conversations between players who took different routes to finish.”

“They came later in the game, but some of them are so freaking cool,” Schofield added. “And we don’t tell you where they are or how many they are. But if you really explore, it may be longer.”

Previously Schofield said that though The Callisto Protocol is largely a linear experience, it has “a lot” of hidden and optional content, some of which will also reveal more about the game’s story. Read more on that through here.

The Callisto Protocol launches on December 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
