The Callisto Protocol Studio Boss is Already Thinking of a Sequel

For The Callisto Protocol and Striking Distance Studios, success would likely mean a sequel to the upcoming horror game.

Developer Striking Distance Studios might already be planning a sequel to its upcoming horror game The Callisto Protocol. Speaking with Inverse, studio boss Glenn Schofield spoke about having a lot of ideas for another game.

“I want to make a sequel,” Schofield said to Inverse. “This is a complete game, but there’s a lot of ideas, cool ideas, we want to do next. I always want to keep making the next big thing. Even after I finish a game, I’m already thinking what’s next.”

Schofield’s statement comes as a response to what the idea of success would mean for the studio and to The Callisto Protocol.

This lines up with a statement by studio CTO Mark James talking about how the world of The Callisto Protocol can be expanded upon.

“We’ve left the world expandable,” James said. “We’ve created a world that can tell different stories, and so we can either tell those stories either through DLC, or we could actually tell those stories through subsequent products. We’ve left those open.”

The Callisto Protocol is slated for release on December 2, and is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
