The Division 2 is Free to Play From May 18th to 21st

The trial for the looter shooter is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with progress transferring when purchasing the game.

Ubisoft has announced a free weekend for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Massive’s third-person looter shooter, on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It kicks off on May 18th and ends on May 21st. PC players can download it from the Free Games section in Ubisoft Connect or “The Division 2 Free Weekend tile” on the Epic Games Store.

PlayStation and Xbox players can search for the game on their respective storefronts and choose “Try Free Demo.” As with previous free weekends, any progress will carry over to the full game (with the Standard and Warlords of New York Ultimate Edition discounted till May 25th). You’ll need Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus to play with other players.

It’s a pretty good time to jump into The Division 2, with Year 5 Season 1 kicking off in early June. It introduces the Castle Rebuild and new mode, Descent, with randomized progression and leaderboards. Unfortunately, native Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions won’t be happening.
