Ubisoft Massive community manager Hamish Bode spoke about upcoming changes and the current state of Tom Clancy’s The Division after today’s maintenance concluded on the game.
Bode noted the 20 percent increase in PvP damage helped to decrease the time to kill on players. He noted that the time to kill on NPCs was still high and the team is working on a different solution with a big change. It’s not coming anytime soon by the looks of it. Also, while shotguns are powerful now thanks to the current meta, Bode noted that players should adjust to the current gameplay. As nerfs are demanded more, the dev team will keep an eye on player requests.
There will be another maintenance period tomorrow and this will address two issues – the fix for DeadEye gear should arrive (barring any major change in plans) and will correct the issues that arose with switching gear to acquire guaranteed headshot critical hits and the stacking of Brutal.
As for that BLIND assault rifle? There’s still no ETA on when it releases and Massive noted that it will work with Sentry’s Call due to its semi-automatic nature. The weapon in general is an entirely new type so it should be interesting to see how it performs.
