If Destiny 2 isn’t fulfilling your need for min-maxing gear, then take heart – Tom Clancy’s The Division currently has its fourth Global Event going on. The event adds modifiers to all of the game’s content, doling Global Event Tokens depending on the difficulty of the missions played. It went live earlier today and will be available until January 30th.
The Global Event is titled “Ambush” and essentially rewards players for playing in cover. The Ambush modifier steadily increases the damage you deal while stationary or in cover (represented by a small bar above your health). Other modifiers include Covert Ambush, where your health diminishes if you move around after the Ambush bar reaches zero. The third modifier combines the previous two but also reduces your damage dealt and eventually health when too close to teammates.
Rewards for completing the Global Event include four new Classified versions of existing Gear Sets – Alpha Bridge, FireCrest, Hunter’s Faith and Tactician’s Authority. These can be earned by turning in Global Event Tokens for caches with the Superior Caches offering higher chances for Classified gear.
