The Elder Scrolls 6 or Skyrim 2: Should It Have Dynamic Side Quests Like The Witcher 3?

Side quests will make the game even better.

When talking about a largely open world game like Skyrim there are a number of things a company needs to make sure to include in order to have success. While there are plenty of players who love the ability to completely choose their own destiny, there are also plenty of people who have the sense they’ve actually accomplished something when they’re putting hours into a game.

Certainly there is plenty to accomplish when it comes to Skyrim and the Elder Scrolls but quite a bit of what there is comes in the form of little jaunts you can take here and there. The Witcher 3 has managed to make side quests and side missions quite fun, while still being quite immersive and important to the story at large. When Bethesda does finally release Skyrim 2 or Elder Scrolls 6, the company would be well served to make sure they are patterning their side quests after what they have seen from CD Projekt RED.

If Bethesda can pattern their missions and quests after what we’ve seen from that game, as well as some upcoming open world games they’re going to have a big time hit on their hands. Something patterned after Skyrim is going to be good enough, adding just a bit more in the arena of side missions the game can be one of the best.

This article is part of our weekly series on Bethesda’s next big entry into the world of The Elder Scrolls.
