Hope you’re in the mood to upgrade your graphics card because Bethesda Softworks has announced the PC system requirements for The Evil Within, Shinji Mikami’s next psychological horror game.
The recommended system requirements include Windows 7/8 64-bit, a quad-core (or more) i7, 4 GB of RAM, a whopping 50 GB of install space (though the game actually takes up 41 GB when it finishes installation) and 4 GB of VRAM via a GeForce GTX 670 or equivalent. Those are some pretty hefty specs and you’ll also need a high speed Internet connection with Steam access.
Of course you can run the game at lower settings but Bethesda “cannot guarantee optimal performance” in those circumstances. Install sizes for the console versions have also been revealed with the Xbox One and PS4 requiring 40 GB while the PS3 and Xbox 360 need 7 GB. It’s possible to install the game on your hard disk or even your USB 2.0/3.0 flash drive.
The Evil Within releases on October 14th for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4.
