Tango Gameworks’ The Evil Within, helmed by industry veteran Shinji Mikami, has a new release date. Bethesda’s Pete Hines announced at QuakeCon 2014 that in fact, the game hasn’t been delayed – it’s actually been pre-poned. It will now be out on October 14th, a full week before the earlier release.
This is nothing but good news considering the survival horror title was supposed to be out next year but was delayed to this year. It didn’t help that the game was supposedly set for August and didn’t arrive then either. Regardless, we’ll finally be able to explore the trials of Detective Sebastian Castellanos as he enters a demented world full of nightmarish demons.
The Evil Within will be out on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Are you looking forward to the game now that the release date has been brought forward? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
