The Last of Us Part 1 Leaked by PlayStation Direct, Out on September 2nd for PS5

Naughty Dog’s classic action-adventure is getting a remake for PS5 and PC, as the rumors foretold. The Last of Us Part 1 will release on September 2nd for PS5 (with the PC version noted as being in development), according to PlayStation Direct. As per the official description (courtesy of Resetera), the classic has been rebuilt for the PS5. “Enjoy a total overhaul of the original experience, faithfully reproduced but incorporating modernized gameplay, improved controls and expanded accessibility options. Plus, feel immersed with improved effects and enhanced exploration and combat.”

Along with the base game, players also receive the Left Behind DLC in the $70 Standard Edition. The Last of Us Part 1 Firefly Edition includes the base game and DLC; a limited edition SteelBook case; The Last of Us: American Dreams comic series with new cover art; and early in-game unlocks. With the Summer Game Fest showcase kicking off at 11 AM PST, expect the trailer and details to be officially announced there. In the meantime, stay tuned for further updates.
