Shortly after the PC launch of The Last of Us Part 1, developer Naughty Dog has released a update for the game in an effort to fix some of the issues that have been reported by players.
The update, numbered at version 1.0.1.5, primarily focuses on stability and performance improvements for the PC release of The Last of Us Part 1. Naughty Dog has stated that it is still investigating the game’s performance issues.
The Last of Us Part 1 was released on Steam earlier this week, and has gone on to see quite a bit of success where player numbers are concerned, becoming the fourth biggest Steam launch for PlayStation. For comparison, the biggest launch was God of War, followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and Horizon Zero Dawn.
In light of players reporting issues with The Last of Us Part 1 on PC, Naughty Dog has stated that it will be working on patches and providing updates “as they become available”. The studio is encouraging players to submit tickets for new issues they might face.
Patch Notes:
- Fixed several performance & hitch related issues impacting some users. Note: Additional improvements and investigations based on user feedback are underway.
- Added extra crash diagnostic information to assist in investigating shader building related crashes and other common reported stability issues.
