A recent classification rating in South Korea spilled the beans on a new League of Legends spinoff that Riot would be announcing soon, and that reveal has now officially happened. The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story has been unveiled, and it will be out this Spring.
Described as a “gritty” action RPG, The Mageseeker will sport 2D pixel art graphics and will see players stepping into the shoes of Sylas, who is out on a quest for vengeance that may “shatter” the “deceptive peace” of Demacia, the kingdom where the game is set, and is “built with the blood and sweat of mages”.
The Mageseeker is being developed by Digital Sun, the indie developer behind acclaimed roguelite action RPG Moonlighter, and promises an “action-packed fantasy gameplay experience” along with “a story of power, identity, and justice.”
A couple other A League of Legends Story titles will also be releasing in the coming months, with CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story due out this Summer and Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story set to release this Fall.
The Mageseeker is in development for PC and consoles, though Riot hasn’t specified which platforms exactly it will launch for. Presumably, it will be available for everything including PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC, since that’s the trend Riot Forge seems to be following for all A League of Legends Story games.
