The New Aliens Game Will Feature Ellen Ripley’s Daughter

And will function as a nod to the original film

Earlier this week, 20th Century Fox registered a trademark for a new game in the Aliens series. The game is to be called Alien: Isolation, and according to sources, it will feature Aliens protagonist Ellen Ripley’s daughter. Alien: Isolation is set to release on both current and next-gen consoles in 2014.

The game is set to be developed by Creative Assembly, and will function as a horror themed first person shooter, and will be inspired by classic title such as Dishonored. The source of this information you ask? It’s a source who asked to remain anonymous, but is “familiar” with what’s happening at Sega.

According to this source, the daughter of Ellen Ripley, Amanda Ripley will spend the majority of the game fighting her way through a space station. There’s only one alien, however, and most of the enemies will be a mix of space soldiers and clones. True to the original Alien film, vents will play a large part in Alien: Invasion.

The source aside, Sega declined to comment on the game.
