The Rogue Prince of Persia’s First Patch Goes Live Today, Fixes Performance Issues

Issues with saving, crashes and other bugs will also reportedly be addressed, with Evil Empire revealing patch notes soon.

Evil Empire’s The Rogue Prince of Persia launched for PC via Steam Early Access earlier this week, receiving praise for its presentation and art style. However, several players have reported issues with performance. The development team acknowledged these and will release new patch by today to offer some fixes “ASAP.”

Alongside addressing performance problems, the patch will also target issues with saving, bugs and crashes. Patch notes will be available once the update drops, so we’ll see if it addresses other things, like the input lag some players are reporting.

Check out our review for The Rogue Prince of Persia here. It currently offers six biomes to explore, taking many cues from the studio’s previous work, Dead Cells, in their design. Two bosses are available to fight with several weapons and Medallions to customize one’s build. Future updates will add even more content, fleshing out the story further, with early access expected to last for a year, potentially longer.
