The Witcher 3 – Obtain The Game Free For A Week On GOG If You Own It On Another Platform

You can also get a giftable code if you already own it via GOG.

While we all wait patiently for CD Projekt’s next epic, Cyberpunk 2077, we can always look back to The Witcher. Between Netflix adaptation and over 50 million units sold for the franchise, it’s up there now as one of the big boys. The last game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has alone sold nearly 30 million copies, and you may have the chance to have it one more place if you wish.

CD Projekt is offering the ability to claim a free copy of The Witcher 3 on their new GOG Galaxy client if you link up your account on another platform where you own the title. What version of the game you’ll get depends on what you have on said platform. If you have the GOTY Edition, for instance, you will get that on GOG. But if you own the original game and both the expansions separately, you will only get the base game (or neither of the expansions, obviously). If you’re bummed because you already bought the game via GOG to begin with, no worries, you can take advantage of the offer and get a code to gift someone else.

The offer is valid for all current versions of consoles or PC with the exception of the Switch version, since it unfortunately does not have integration with GOG Galaxy. The offer will run until June 23rd, and you can read full details through here.
