The Witcher 3 On Switch Did Well And Was A Good Revenue-Driver, CD Projekt RED Reaffirms

The game on the hybrid system seems to have been a big success.

While we’re close to the next game from CD Projekt RED, the much anticipated and talked about Cyberpunk 2077, there was pretty big (or small, depending on how you look at it) development for their previous title that helped launch them to the heights they are at now- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. A Switch version was released late last year, surprising many, and it seems CDPR is pretty happy with it.

Via their latest earnings call, company Adam Kiciński reaffirmed that the unlikely port was a big success. He called the version of the game a revenue driver, calling back to an announcement earlier this year that it helped the company’s revenue go up year over year (thanks to Seeking Alpha for the transcription).

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Switch was one of those unlikely ports that was pretty technically impressive. That game is also said to be getting native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions at some point in the future, so no doubt it’ll be the gift that keeps giving for the foreseeable future.
