The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt_Xbox Series X and PS5

CD Projekt RED has announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition is coming to Xbox Series X and PS5. The next-gen version will feature a “range of visual and technical improvements” which includes ray tracing and quicker loading times. Since this is the Complete Edition, the base game and all of its post-launch updates are included along with the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions.

Though it will be available to purchase standalone on Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC, current-gen owners should take note. This will be a free update for those who own the game on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. While CD Projekt RED hasn’t explicitly said whether this is a free next-gen upgrade for PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X, one assumes this to be the case.

If that weren’t enough, PC owners can finally avail of HDR support as well, as confirmed by global community Marcin Momot on Twitter. More details on the game’s next-gen release will be revealed in the coming days so stay tuned. CD Projekt RED also has Cyberpunk 2077 in the works with its release pretty much locked for November 19th.
