CD Projekt RED continues to fly high on the success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The Polish developer noted a net revenue for $82.7 million in its financial results for the first half of 2016.
Profit came to $35 million which is down from last year ($133 million in revenue and $61.2 million in profit) but then that was the same period where The Witcher 3 first released. Sales for the game were reported as being “high” though no numbers were provided.
The developer also noted that Blood and Wine, the second expansion for The Witcher 3 released earlier this year had “generated most of our sales during this period”. Because the report only looks at results for January to June 30th 2016, Hearts of Stone was not mentioned.
The GOG division is still doing fairly well with $17.9 million in revenue thanks to Blood and Wine and “good sales of the back catalog.” Thoughts on the developer’s financial results? Let us know in the comments.
