Thief 4: New Concept Art Showcases Sleepy Hollow-esque Environments

The world of Thief comes to gritty life.

Thief 4 or Thief, as Eidos Montreal is keen to call it, signals a reboot for the franchise. Matser criminal Garrett returns to the City to find it a melting pot for plague and despotism. Naturally being in it for himself, Garrett does the only thing he knows best: Loots the heck out of everyone around him.

Concept artist Nicolas Ferrand recently posted some new artwork for the game, showcasing some of the levels we’ll be visiting in the upcoming action adventure game for PC, PS4 and the next Xbox. These include the Sewers, the Streets – which carry a Sleepy Hollow-esque tone to them – and a Tavern, complete with drunken patrons.

As of now, Thief is set to release in 2014 and will be one of the bigger next-generation titles to release. Delayed for several years, the game will feature the same realistic gameplay and thieving that the franchise has become famous for.
