Tom Clancy’s The Division Garners $330 Million Revenue in First Week

Beats Destiny's record for biggest first week for new IP.

According to Ubisoft, Tom Clancy’s The Division earned $330 million worldwide when it launched last week, thus making it the “biggest first week ever” for a new franchise and beating out Destiny‘s record of $325 million.

Though official sales numbers haven’t been revealed, Ubisoft said that the sales were compiled from estimated physical and digital units, “including the gold edition only, according to GFK Chart-Track, first parties, retail customer sell-through and internal estimates through end March 12 at current exchange rates.”

Roughly 1.2 million peak concurrent users were reported with more than 100 million hours played over last week. Ubisoft also noted that The Division was its fastest selling game in history. Like Destiny, there isn’t much by way of sales numbers but we’ll find out over the coming months how successful it is by the amount of user engagement.
