It’s been a long, long time since we last got a new game in 2K’s Top Spin franchise, but after a prolonged absence, it’s finally set to return when TopSpin 2K25 launches later this month. Developer Hangar 13 has been revealing plenty of new details on the tennis sim in the lead-up to its launch, and in recent interview with Wccftech, also shed light on what to expect from the game’s performance targets on all platforms.
According to game director Remi Ercolani, TopSpin 2K25 will run at 60 FPS on all platforms during gameplay in both single player and multiplayer modes. Ercolani didn’t explain what the “during gameplay” qualifier will mean specifically for the rest of the experience, but explained that the 60 FPS target was a “critical” one for the team, which considered it “an important part of the TopSpin feel and experience.”
“TopSpin 2K25 runs at 60 FPS in single and multiplayer on all platforms during gameplay,” Ercolani said. “This is an important part of the TopSpin feel and experience, so it was critical for us to hit this target on all platforms.”
TopSpin 2K25 launches on April 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
