Triangle Strategy Crosses 1 Million Units in Digital Sales and Global Shipments

The HD-2D strategy RPG first launched for Nintendo Switch in March and has since arrived on PC. It's currently 40 percent off on Steam.

Square Enix published several underwhelming titles in 2022, but there were some noteworthy exceptions, like Artdink’s Triangle Strategy. It’s passed one million in digital sales and global shipments, according to a recent tweet. The strategy RPG was last reported to be nearing 800,000 in digital sales and shipments on March 18th, two weeks after its launch on Nintendo Switch.

It’s since launched for PC via Steam and is discounted by 40 percent until tomorrow. Set in Norzelia, the story concerns three kingdoms – Glenbrook, Aesfrost, and Hyzante. When Aesfrost invades Glenbrook, Serenoa of House Wolffort must manage the ensuing conflict, making difficult decisions and ultimately fighting back.

Combat is grid-based, but instead of recruiting new units, you have different party members with unique abilities that lend their aid. It also utilizes the same HD-2D art style as Octopath Traveler and the upcoming Octopath Traveler 2. For more details on Triangle Strategy, you can check out our review here.
