Ultra Street Fighter IV, the fifth iteration of Street Fighter IV (following 2009’s Street Fighter IV, 2010’s Super Street Fighter IV, 2011’s Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, and 2011’s Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition), has released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Many have moaned that Capcom missed a great opportunity to bring the game to the next generation consoles while also updating it. Well, if this newest rumor is to be believed, they may soon be out of a cause to complain.
This rumor finds its root in the fact that Mad Catz’s Ultra Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2 seems to have one rather interesting feature- it allows players to switch between its use on either the PS3 or PS4 on the fly. Which, if you think about it, might just be an innocuous feature introduced considering the game’s likely compatibility with other fighting games as well that may also be on the PS4. But at the same time, this does also raise the question- is Ultra Street Fighter IV coming to the PS4 (and likely, Xbox One)?
If it is, we will probably find out more about it at E3 next week. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
