Warframe: Fortuna Goes Live This Week for PC

The looter shooter's second major open world will be out later for consoles.

If the announcement of Diablo Immortal has you down, don’t worry. Digital Extremes has finally narrowed down release window for Warframe’s next big update, Fortuna. It’s coming to PC players later this week and will be available “soon” for Xbox One and PS4 players. Check out the trailer below for all the new stuff coming with Fortuna.

Taking place on Venus, Fortuna is a huge open world environment with a hostile, snow-covered surface. Underground, however, is the debt-internment colony run by the Corpus and their aristocrat Nef Anyo. Players will take on bounties with rebellious Solaris United and seek to liberate the denizens of Fortuna.

That means new weapons, a new frame called Garuda, Moa Companions, customizable secondary weapons known as Kitguns, and even hoverboards called K-Drives for traversing the surface. Fortuna promises to be several times bigger than Plains of Eidolon, but whether it will be a more stable launch remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more information on the exact release date as it becomes available.
