Wargroove Releasing on February 1st for Switch, Cinematic Trailer Released

Chucklefish's Advanced Wars-inspired strategy game is out next week.

Chucklefish promised some new details about its tactical turn-based strategy title Wargroove “very soon”. Thanks to Nintendo’s recent Nindies Showcase, Wargroove finally has a release date… at least on the Switch. It’s coming to the platform on February 1st. Check out the latest cinematic trailer below, which highlights the different Commanders in the game (and yes, the dog is playable).

Similar to Nintendo’s Advance Wars, Wargroove sees players battling with different factions. Different Commanders can be selected, and they each have their own campaign and abilities. Campaigns can branch along different paths, though players can link missions together for different purposes.

A robust editor is also included for creating maps and sharing them online. Online and local co-op and PvP are also supported for those want to test their tactics in multiplayer. Along with a release on Nintendo Switch, Wargroove will be coming to PC and Xbox One on February 1st. A release date for the PS4 version hasn’t yet been announced.
