When Ubisoft first introduced the facet of other players “bleeding” into your single-player experience (and you into theirs) in various ways for their upcoming open world hacking adventure Watch_Dogs, many assumed this would be repercussions in some form.
Maybe it would be a way to encourage co-op or competitive multiplayer? As it turns out, Watch_Dogs does have its own multiplayer mode, in leaked footage revealed today.
Similar to Assassin’s Creed, Watch_Dogs requires you to sneak up on opponents and find a decent place to hide when they come hunting. However, your job is to successfully hack them for a set amount of time. When hacking some one, you are open to discovery and can be hunted down. But when being hacked, the tables turn, as you have to identify your attacker and kill him.
Watch_Dogs releases on November 19th in North America for Xbox 360, Wii U, PS3 and PC, while the PS4 and Xbox One release will arrive in the Q4 2013.
