Bethesda has been working on some major games this year and there has been some talk about the possibility of one of those games actually being an Elder Scrolls 6. Among the projects that quite few fans are hoping for is a remastered version of the original Skyrim for the Xbox One and PS4. We already know that Bethesda has at least made it possible to have the original game run on the Xbox One, though that appears to have just been a kind of a test.
Bethesda has been noticeably vague about what their plans are surrounding The Elder Scrolls series. And we don’t blame them. The company’s entire focus is on Fallout 4 and supporting it with plethora of downloadable content for this year and beyond. So a new Elder Scrolls game announcement probably won’t happen until 2017. It’s obvious that this may make the fans of series a bit frustrated in a similar way when Bethesda wasn’t ready to confirm Fallout 4 all those years back.
Perhaps the company will go the route that The Coalition went with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. They managed to put together a remastered game that has served as a kind of way to keep the fans happy until an entirely new game in the form of Gears of War 4 is ready to go. We know that Bethesda has something up its sleeve for E3. We’ll just have to hope that something includes a remastered version of Skyrim to make the wait easier for those who are looking forward to The Elder Scrolls 6.
