Witcher 3 Not The Last Game In Franchise, Minor Gameplay Details Revealed

Massive open world.

The Witcher 3 was supposed to be the last game in the series according to the studio CD Projekt RED, who released a PR, where they mentioned that they are going to make the best game they can because it’s the last Witcher game.

However, CEO Adam Isinski has confirmed that it is not the last game in the series and we can see more Witcher games in the future, however, it may or may not involve Geralt of Rivia.

“The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will take place in 2014. Game will be released at the same time on the PC on new, powerful hardware and the new generation of consoles,” he said to a Polish site stooq.pl.

“This is the last part of the trilogy where there will be a grand finale of the story. But it is not clear at the end of the franchise. Franchise will continue.”

Open world is going to be a major focus in the game, and studio head Adam Badowski has mentioned that since they got the RPG storytelling side right, they want to create an open world game.

“We decided that we were ready for the next step,” Badowski told . “We decided to combine two types of games. We mastered storytelling in RPG games — that’s our strongest side. On the other hand, we feel that we missed something. We missed the huge freedom of open-world games like Skyrim.”
