As part of its month-long coverage of Koei Tecmo’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, IGN First has released new gameplay of an early boss fight, Aoye. As a fictional creature in Shan Hai Jing (Classic of Mountains and Seas), it resembles a bull and attacks with tentacles and tendrils. Check it out below.
In addition, we also see the Spear in action. As one of 14 melee weapons, it has good reach and deals exceptional damage, though it may not be the fastest. Dodging and parrying Aoye’s strikes is important since they deal immense damage. In addition to physical attacks, it also fires waves of lethal ice.
Nevertheless, through stylish acrobatics, skills, spells and parries, Aoye can be felled with ease. Other threats await when Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty launches on March 3rd for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the meantime.
