Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is almost 50GB on PS4, Xbox One, and PC; however, in a feat of compression worth applauding, Panic Button, the folks who are bringing it to the Switch, have managed to reduce it to half that size. The Switch version of the game will be 21.8GB, ResetEra poster Toni Codrea has discovered.
This is actually a bit bigger than what was originally promised- less than 14GB- though I guess that was the size promised for the physical version of the game (implying the cartridge in question is 8GB). It also is a pretty hefty amount for the Switch- the base Switch system comes with 32GB of on board memory, and this would take up most of that. Even the most common SD card sizes, 64GB and 32GB, would see a respectable amount of their storage space taken up by Wolfenstein 2.
It is what it is, though- Wolfenstein 2 is a pretty high end console game, so of course the file size was going to be correspondingly big too. It launches on the Switch this Friday.
