Wolfenstein: The New Order Runs at 60 FPS/1080p “With Minimal Visual Disparity” on All Platforms

You'll also discover the fate of Japan if you explore the game world according to creative director Jen Matthies.

Continuing his Reddit AMA, Machinegames’ creative director Jen Matthies talked about Wolfenstein: The New Order and how it would run across the range of platforms it had been developed for.

According to Matthies, developing for the PS4 and Xbox One was easy. “Compared to the last console transition this one was a breeze. There are always tricky technical problems when developing games, but we have some amazingly skilled brains on those problems and I’m happy to report that Wolf will run with minimal visual disparity at 60fps/1080p on all platforms.”

While Wolfenstein: The New Order will feature 20 hours of gameplay and even an alternate timeline playthrough depending on a decision you make early on, we’ll also find out what happens to Japan, which took part in World War II with the Nazis.

“It’s not something we go deeply into in this game, but if you explore the game world you will discover some information on the fate of Japan.”

Wolfenstein: The New Order releases on May 20th for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Stay tuned for more information as we near release.
