WWE 2K23 is shaping up to be a solid follow-up to the series’ 2022 revival, and from the meatiness of its content offerings to some of the new features and ideas it’s promising, from all that we’ve seen of it so far, this year’s instalment certainly seems to be doing more than enough to generate its fair share of buzz. Recently, developer Visual Concepts confirmed that the game will feature over 170 playable wrestlers in its launch roster, and it seems like a couple of DLC additions could seen be unveiled as well.
As spotted by @deonteddj on Twitter, Visual Concepts’ latest stream for the game may have hinted at the addition of fan-favourites Bray Wyatt and Wade Barrett as post-launch DLC. A very brief interruption during said stream showed the words “Bad News Paper” flashing on-screen, seemingly referring to the latter, who’s commonly referred to as “Bad News” Barrett. Meanwhile, Wyatt’s current logo also seemed to briefly appear on the screen.
Interestingly, the date March 1 was also shown on-screen on the bottom left corner, leading to speculation that the pair’s addition to the game’s roster as DLC could be announced on the day. Of course, we’ll be keeping an eye out for any such announcements, so stay tuned for more updates.
WWE 2K23 launches on March 17 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
