Xbox Cloud Gaming Players Report Increased Queue Times

Players are blaming the availability of Grand Theft Auto 5 as the reason for increased queue times while using Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Players are starting to see increased queue times for Xbox Cloud Gaming, according to Windows Central. Players in some regions have reported a surge in their queue times, and have been attributed it to the popularity of Grand Theft Auto 5.

According to Windows Central, queuing up has been taking anywhere from 3 minutes to over 5 minutes, with the report revealing that some queues are taking even longer with a “Sorry, this is taking longer than we expected” message.

Xbox Cloud Gaming has been seen by subscribers as a nice bonus to have along with Xbox Game Pass. The service has seen quite a bit of growth, especially with it becoming available on smart TVs.

The service launched on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S platforms back in 2021, and has since seen quite few games being added to its roster. Alongside first-party Xbox games, the service also has titles like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Fortnite.
