Xbox is Reverting the Recent Removal of Twitter Sharing of Game DVR Clips

Xbox Insider program lead Brad Rossetti confirms that Microsoft has reversed the previous change in response to feedback from users.

Earlier this month, it was reported that an Xbox Insider update had removed the option to share capture gameplay clips on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles directly via Twitter, suggest that a similar change was imminent for all Xbox console users. It seems, however, that Microsoft has rethought those plans.

A new update recently went live for Xbox Insider program members, which confirms that “users will again see the option to share content directly to Twitter.” Over on Twitter, Xbox Insider program lead Brad Rossetti has confirmed that same, stating that the change made in the previous beta update has been reverted in this one based on feedback from players.

Microsoft has said on a number of occasions that it is looking into improving capture and sharing features on its consoles, which is an area where Xbox has consistently lagged behind competition. While it remains to be seen when those improvements will arrive or what they will be, it’s a relief to know that at least the features it does have aren’t being removed.
