After releasing Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami for PC via Steam, Sega looks to be preparing to release Yakuza Kiwami 2 for the platform as well. The Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) recently rated the remake for Windows PC while highlighting all the violence inherent. Long story short, this is a very violent game.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of Yakuza 2, which released for the PlayStation 2 in 2006. It sees Kazuma Kiryu stepping back into the underworld to stop a war from brewing between the Tojo Clan and Omi Alliance. Along the way, he’ll run afoul of the “Dragon of Kansai”, Ryuji Goda.
Considered by many to be the best game in the series, Yakuza Kiwami 2 improves upon the original in numerous ways. New story elements have been added (like “The Truth of Majima Goro”), combat is more akin to Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, and there have been significant upgrades to the visuals, resolution, and frame rate. Yakuza Kiwami 2 is currently available for PS4 – check out GamingBolt’s official review for it here.
