Developer Cold Iron Studios has revealed a new limited-time game mode coming to co-op shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite. The mode, shown off in a new trailer, involves players revisiting Katanga’s cisterns. The mode is available as a free update to the game.
The Ruptured Cistern mode will involve 3 floors that players have to manage as they lure out Xenomorphs and take them out. The game mode will also feature some limited-time rewards that players can earn. Check out some of the intense gameplay in the new game mode in the trailer below.
Earlier this year, Aliens: Fireteam Elite got its first paid expansion release. Titled Pathogen, the expansion added 8 new weapons, 13 new attachments, new Class Kit Perks, and three new missions to the game.
Gameplay in the Pathogen expansion isn’t too different from the base Aliens: Fireteam Elite, featuring environments to explore, and plenty of Xenomorphs to kill. The expansion also features a giant boss-like Xenomorph, which can be seen in a trailer for the DLC, wielding a heavy-looking limb.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
