Anthem Demo is A “Specific Build”, Side Quests Playable After Main Story Completion

BioWare's Mike Gamble says the demo will have "minor things" that are being fixed for the main game.

It’s the new year, and that means a ton of high-profile games to look forward to in the next few months. While some of us are looking forward to titles like Resident Evil 2, Kingdom Hearts 3, Devil May Cry 5 and whatnot, there’s also BioWare’s Anthem. The highly anticipated looter shooter will have VIP demo by January end (which will also be out on February 1st for everyone else).

While we know the contents of the demo, is it going to be the final build of the game? According to lead producer Michael Gamble on Twitter, it’s “actually a specific demo build”, who also promises that “most things should be the same.” He also noted that there are still a few minor things in the demo that the developer will be fixing in the main game.

Another interesting tweet from Gamble before the new year also confirmed that side quests can be returned to after finishing the main story missions. So if you’re insistent on clearing the campaign first and then checking off side quests, it seems you’ll be able to do that.

Anthem is scheduled to release on February 22nd for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
