Anthem Demo Will Include Missions, A Stronghold, Some Freeplay, and More

BioWare's Mike Gamble talks about what players can expect to see in the game's demo.

Anthem launches in less than two months from now, which means that roughly a month from now, players will get the chance to test its demo, which goes live in the beginning of February. Recently, BioWare’s Michael Gamble, lead producer on the upcoming shared-world shooter, was active on Twitter to give out some details on the demo.

Other than re-iterating that the demo will see players starting at Level 10, something that was initially confirmed last week, Gamble also confirmed that the max level cap in the demo will be 15. Additionally, in a separate tweet, Gamble also briefly talked about the content that will be included in the demo. Though he didn’t go into specific details, he did mention that the demo will include some missions, a single stronghold, sections of gameplay within the single player hub called Fort Tarsis, as well as “some freeplay”. He also confirmed that progress made in the demo would not carry over into the full game (which we would have guessed anyway, considering that we’ll be starting the demo at Level 10).

Gameplay footage on both, the Strongholds and Fort Tarsis, has been shown off recently, so be sure to take a look at both through the links. Anthem itself will launch in full on February 22 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, less than a month after its demo goes live.
