Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Needs 47GB of Disc Space on PS4

Still needs less space than Red Dead Redemption 2...

Mega Man 11 isn’t the only game that we got the confirmation of disc space requirements for today. The PS4 version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the upcoming new entry in Ubisoft’s flagship series, also had its store page updated today (though, again, only on console— you try looking at the web store page, and it doesn’t give you anything), and it looks like the game will come in at 47GB.

47GB is a lot of storage space, but compared to the frankly absurd 105GB of space that Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 needs, it’s fairly standard. It does this, thankfully, while being an expansive, graphically beautiful world with a lot of emergent systems in place. Of course, whether or not it ends up better than Rockstar’s prospective magnum opus remains to be seen (that said, file sizes never correspond to quality— Breath of the Wild, for instance, is probably one of the best games ever created, and it’s less than half the file size of Odyssey).

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launches October 5 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
