PlatinumGames has announced that Phase 2 of Babylon’s Fall’s closed beta will begin next week. It goes live on servers in Japan on September 10th at 7:30 PM to 10 PM JST, followed by North America on September 11th and Europe on September 13th. While the first phase was available only for PC players, Phase 2 will also be available for PS4.
The developer also revealed feedback that it received for the first closed beta test, from issues with the controls and slower pace of action to the art-style making visibility difficult. Though having these changes in Phase 2 will be “difficult”, “We will focus our efforts so that we will be able to show you an even better Babylon’s Fall which is of an even higher quality in Phase 3.” Currently, the third phase is slated to start sometime in November 2021 and should see PS5 support added.
Babylon’s Fall is in development for PC, PS4 and PS5. It was originally announced as an action hack and slash title with co-op support in 2018 but re-surfaced at E3 2021 as a live-service title with a different art-style. There’s currently no release date so stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
