The world is in conflict in Battlefield 5, DICE’s latest visitation to World War 2. This time around, the battle will be bigger than ever with new mechanics, Grand Operations, and new War Stories. The launch trailer has arrived to hype players up, and the comments already think this should have been the initial reveal trailer. Decide for yourself below.
Battlefield 5 will feature three new War Stories in its single-player campaign (plus a short preview-style prologue), spanning multiple theaters of war from the perspectives of different characters. A fourth War Story will arrive in December with The Last Tiger, offering a German perspective on the war. The real meat of the game is in multiplayer though.
Eight maps with different configurations across different modes are available at launch. New mechanics like Fortifications and changes to revives are also included, which makes for more even pace. In the coming months, DICE will add even more content with Tides of War, including the co-op mode Combined Arms and Battle Royale mode Firestorm. Battlefield 5 is out on November 20th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
