Although there’s a lot to be excited for with the upcoming release of Battlefield V in just a couple of months, it’s also been a little disappointing to learn that some features such as the battle royale mode and vehicle customization will not be available at launch. As if this wasn’t bad enough, it has now been discovered that the new co-op mode, Combined Arms, is yet another feature that will not be available at launch. On the Battlefield V website, Combined Arms is mentioned as something that is coming “after launch”, as spotted on Twitter by Battlefield Bulletin.
At this point, it’s seriously worth questioning why so many important features of the game are going to be missing at launch. We already know that the game isn’t doing too well when it comes to pre-orders, and something like this isn’t going to do those figures any favours. It doesn’t seem like all the missing features will get players excited for the game’s release, especially when they are much more excited for some other big games releasing in the Holiday season. On the bright side, the game mode Combined Arms sounds like it’s going to be pretty great for both newcomers and veterans, so it may be worth the wait after all.
Battlefield V is set to release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox on October 19.
