Battlefield 5’s Battle Royale Mode Detailed in Leaked Tutorial – Report

Solo and duos, cracking safes for reinforcements, and much more seem to be on the cards.

After recent datamining provided some details on the same, it now seems that the tutorial for Firestorm in DICE’s Battlefield 5 has been leaked. The video can be seen below, courtesy of JROBtheFinesser on YouTube. It pretty much confirms that the battle royale mode can be played solo, in teams of two, or in a squad of four.

If you’ve played a battle royale title before, a lot of this is going to look familiar. Drop into an enormous map, scavenge loot – which comes in Common, Rare, and Epic rarities – and take out other players to be the last one standing. You can also fulfil different objectives and open safes to receive special rewards.

These include reinforcements, vehicles, and different loot. Classes appear to be missing, and revives only apply when you get knocked down (not eliminated- no respawning then). It does seem that you’ll be able to use your sidearm while bleeding out, so it does offer some means of fighting back.

Electronic Arts and DICE have yet to confirm if this tutorial is legit, so take it with some grain of salt. Nevertheless, given that Firestorm was stated to launch in March 2019, we wouldn’t be surprised if it dropped sooner than later.
