Battlefield 5’s open beta will be available today for those who pre-ordered or subscribed to Origin Access Premier/Basic and EA Access. However, in the meantime, DICE has released a new trailer discussing all of the multiplayer modes that will be available at launch. We also get a brief look at the War Stories available in the campaign. Check it out below.
However, perhaps more interesting is the fact that Battlefield 5’s Royale mode, the developer’s take on Battle Royale, has been renamed. It’s now called Firestorm and will support up to 64 players. Only squads of four players will be able to queue up by the looks of it.
In terms of War Stories, there will be four available at launch – the Prologue, Nordlys, Tirailleur, and Under the Flag. A fifth War Story, The Last Tiger, will be available post-launch. Also, even though the number of multiplayer maps wasn’t confirmed, eight “unexplored settings” are promised in the trailer. We’ll have to wait until the final game launches to see all the maps.
Battlefield 5 is out on November 20th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
