Thanks to EA’s subscription services on both PC and Xbox One, some of their biggest games allow players early access opportunities, as does the growing trend of doing the same for people who pre order special editions of games. Not too long ago, EA shared details on how, in light of that, Anthem’s release schedule would look, and now they’ve done the same for the upcoming Battlefield 5.
You can get early access into the game as much as eleven days before launch- if you have an Origin Access Premier account, you get access to the full game on PC on November 9. November 9 will also be the date when a 10 hour long trial becomes available for certain players (similar to what EA did with Mass Effect: Andromeda, and what they’re doing with Anthem as well). To gain access to the trial, you either need an Origin Access Basic subscription on PC, or an EA Access subscription on the Xbox One.
The earliest you can play the game on the PS4 is November 15, which is five days before the game’s full launch. For that, you need to have pre-ordered the game’s Deluxe Edition- this, of course, applies to you if you’re on PC and Xbox One as well. Meanwhile, the game’s full global launch for everyone on all three platforms is on November 20.
There will be plenty still to look forward to after the game’s launch. December sees the launch of Battlefield 5’s first and only single player DLC, while Firestorm, its battle royale mode, will be rolled out in March of 2019.
