Battlefield: Hardline Delayed for Further Innovation, New Features

Innovation. Right.

Visceral Games’ Battlefield: Hardline will be out in March 2015 after being delayed from its original October 2014 release. According to EA CEO Andrew Wilson at the recent GamesBeat conference, this was done primarily to stuff more innovation in the game.

“We moved it because we thought there was more innovation that could go in the game.” He also added that feedback from players in the beta amounted to, “‘Yeah, we like this. This whole cops and criminals things is cool, but we think you could be doing things more differently.'”

We’ve already seen some points that Visceral Games brought forth including increased movement speed, no iron-sight shaking, less screen-shaking from environmental destruction and much more. Hopefully the game’s launch won’t be as buggy as Battlefield 4 which followed the game a full year after its release.

Thoughts? Let us know in the comments. Battlefield: Hardline will out on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC in March 2015.
